Aida Cruises AidaPrima Fire

Mitsubishi Shipyard in Nagasaki, Japan - January 31, 2016

Cruise Ship Fires Aida Cruises AidaPrima

Another fire has struck the Aida Prima cruise ship this month and it's being labeled this time as arson. This fire follows two other fires earlier in the month one on January 11 and the second on January 13.

According to local police, a worker found cardboard and insulation material ablaze aboard the cruise ship, which is one of two cruise ships under construction for Aida Cruises at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd.'s shipyard in Nagasaki, Japan.

Firefighters said workers quickly put out the fire and no injuries were reported.

The January 11 fire caused significant damage to the cruise ship. The January 13 cruise ship fire was in a cabin which started with a piece of cloth.
